Focus Point Warehouse Sales 2009

A friend of mine who works in Focus Point informed me of Focus Point having its warehouse sales.

How do a glasses shop do a warehouse sales?

It seems they concentrate on sunglasses and frame. Maybe you buy the frame then get your eye checked later.

So why not go and check it out?

Review - L'Occitane Shea Butter Extra Gentle Soup and Lip Balm

Hooray, finally found a beautiful blog template. See, I just change the blog template.
After searching and surfing for a few hours, this is the one which attract me the most...

^.*

Tomorrow is my big day.....
Happy birthday to myself~!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, mud guy had blog so much about the recent warehouse sales that we went, I could hardly figure out what should I blog about.
So, let's have a short review on some L'Occitane stuffs that I bought last months.
I have just started to use it's soup and lip balm. Haven't start to try the foot cream and hand cream which my friend one claimed that L'Occitane has the best hand cream and foot cream.
L'Occitane, once upon the time, is a shop where I feel too classy and pricey to step in. One day, I saw their promotion and so tempted to try on it. Ended up, I got myself all these stuffs. They are so well-known with their ingredients that consists of she butter, one of the best moisturizing and nourishing ingredient.
In L'Occitane's website, they claimed that - Shea Butter protects the skin against the sun as well as the hot winds carrying dust and fine sand that dry the skin.
Shea Butter Extra Gentle Soup
I have tried the Shea Butter Extra Gentle Soup - Verbena for more than one month continuously. It smell so natural and without excessive artificial perfume scented smell. I hate to use soap since I was small. I hate the rough and dry soapy feeling after bath. However, this Shea Butter Soup is really excellent. It work so well to moisture my skin and I can even feel smoothness on my skin after shower. Hence, RM 19 per piece of this soup is worth. Besides, it can even work better than those other commercial shower gel. After using it for a month, my skin looks brighter and smoother.
As a result, I bought another set of L'Occitane 6 pieces soup bar last last week which consist of 5 different flavors and colours. I love colourful stuffs~ ^^ Will review all of them one by one if I get to use it before giving them as pressie to friends.
Shea Butter Lip Balm
The soap is GREAT. However, the lip balm doesn't work on me. I like the smell of the balm. Natural and simple. However, due to my extra-ordinary sensitive lip, perhaps I am allergy towards some of the ingredient of a lip balm (which I have problem with most of the lip balm in the market), my skin on the lips peel off when the balm got to mix with the saliva in the inner part of my lip.
At last, I still have to stick to my Vaseline petroleum jelly where my friend bought for me from UK. I feel so bore with the smell of Vaseline. In a correct word, I should say, I don't like it's smell. Is there anyone facing the same problem as me?? Any solution??
Free RM 10 Voucher at Parkson
When we talk about Parkson, most of the Malaysians would rather give it a pass, favoring foreign marque like Isetan, Robinson and to some extent Jusco. But blimey, Parkson IS the one when it comes to China, and probably going to be so in Vietnam, in terms of luxury departmental store.
For me, i personally like Parkson, at least the Pavilion branch at least. Absolutely comfortable and the items are well ranged and updated, better than many other Parksons and other departmental store.
And if you are like me, likes Parkson, there is luck for you. And the promotion, sadly, ends on Sunday, 29 November 2009, please forgive my lateness in getting to know it.
The Promotion
If you spend RM 150 in a single receipt, you will be entitled to a RM 10 voucher.
And if you spend the money on cosmetics and perfume (if i was not wrong), RM 100 spending will get you a RM 10 voucher.
T & C as usual, applies, but a worthy reminder would be the voucher must be redeemed at the same day.
Which means, the cashier will not hand you the voucher straight. You would have to redeem it yourself at the customer service counter, which is quite a troublesome thing to do.
Butter Girl got a wallet there today and spent her RM 10 voucher on the same day as the expiry date of the voucher is very near (6 Dec 2009) to be exact. So, do spend your voucher quickly =p
Happy shopping!!
Clearance Sales at Coach
Too bad, i only got to know it today, but really, it does not matter.
Coach is having its clearance sales today, though i do not know if it extended beyond today. I do think however that it will at least last the weekend.
Today at Gardens branch, we saw a long queue outside of Coach. Upon enquiring, we got to know that it was the clearance sales for Coach.
And get this - the discount is only 30%, which is consistent with what Coach had always do.
But really, do you think a 30% discount constitute a clearance sales? That warranted a long queue? Granted, the long queue do piqued our curiosity to get into the line (stupid us), waited, then got in, only to realize there isn't much to go for.
Maybe its cheaper for you to just fly to US, grab a few Coach-es, and fly back.
Or maybe that 30% is really good.
By the way, they even got TWO guards. I never knew Coach was sooooo precious.
Cheap Original Crocs in Crocs Outlet, Mines
I am sick of all those fake Crocs at pasar malam and "warehouse". They make wearing Crocs no longer cool as those ill-informed people will thinks that i am wearing a fake one too.
But hey, there are actually cheap, original Crocs lying around for all to buy. And for those who wore Crocs, we knew the difference.
There is a Crocs Outlet in Mines Shopping Fair, at 3rd Floor in the New Wing.
For the uninitiated, Outlet means a place where "rejects" or "out of season" or "too old" stocks are sold. Here in this Outlet, choices are plenty though you might not find the range and size that you want. But get this - all Crocs are at 50% discount, and that is very good.
So, if you wanna get a Crocs but not willing to fork the price, get from this place. And it is a good investment, as Crocs is virtually indestructible, though the base (read "rubber") will be flat.
Happy shopping!!!
11th World of Chinese Book Fair
It has been the 11th series, but this is the first time i have heard of it.
No, seriously.
The details are;
Location : MIECC, Mines Resort City
Date : 20 - 26 Nov. 2009
Time : 11am - 10pm
Entrance Fee : RM 2.oo per person, student enter for free
Now i must say that unlike KL Convention Center, not many people knows about MIECC ( i think it meant Mines International E-sumthing Convention Center, or i might be wrong).
But if you are interested to go, let me enlighten you of how.
First, get into Mines Shopping Fair. Go to 3th floor, the entrance is beside F.O.S. If you still can't find out where, just ask the information counter, which they had one in the middle of 3th floor of Mines Shopping Fair.
My first impression is that the Popular-organised Chinese book fair is decidedly larger in term of participants and amount of books. The discount in the Popular's fair is also higher than this one.
But this particular book fair triumph in the sense that it has more than books. Here, there is a section dedicated to tea art (which more than ten participating booth) and a huge section for eating. Well, you know, after getting tired walking around, you can just sit down have some tea.
Secondly, students get to go in for free, unlike the Popular-organized ones where everyone pays RM 2.00.
Should you come here?
Well, you should if your interest is in Chinese books. Though lesser in amount, there are still treasures in the fair!
But if you are like me, read little Chinese, don't bother.
Elianto Nail Colour at RM 1
I went to Alamandar today, found out Elianto is having a promotion where their selected nail colour is selling at RM 1.
I was so happy and quickly grab one and give it to the SA. Unfortunately, the SA told me that, I have to purchase 2 bottles of the same nail colour to entitle me for the RM 1 promo price.
I was so shocked because the banner there stated that one customer only entitled to a maximum 2 bottles. So, why two?? By the way, I ask the SA there saying that why should I purchase 2 bottles of the same nail colour?
I thought the SA there might doing an another way of promo to boost up their business (as mud boy previously encountered the same situation when he wanna purchase some body shop stuffs). Hence, I leave and headed to The Mines.
At there, the SA in using a very unpleasant manner, told me that, if I purchase one bottle, I will have to pay RM 5 per bottle. If I get two, then it will be RM 1 each.
Wtf, if u wanna do such promotion, y not u state in your banner?? By the way, why bother stating a maximum 2 for each customer?? Indeed, 2 bottle is a must and no such thing as maximum and minimum.
Well, I should not give a fucking damn on it. I am just don't like such dishonest business attitude. Anyway, it is non of my business. I wouldn't affect me much as I am not Elianto user.
For further information on the promotion period and the colour chosen for every particular period, please refer to HERE.
~UPDATE on 29 Nov 09~
Finally, I went Elianto at Jusco Maluri and got my RM 1 nail Colour without any terms and conditions~ I even bought another RM 1 nail colour in brown on the next week by spending RM 1 only.
I guess the precious 2 SA insert their terms and conditions their own. Hope that the same thing won't happen again.
What so special about the sales in Robinson?
Well, member get extra 10%, for this weekend only, i think.
If you are not member, applying one will only take you a few minutes (apply at Customer Service Counter at Level 2).
With normal sales up to 70%, an extra 10% would put it at 80%!
Levi's Docker Warehouse Sales 2009
The good news is, Levi's Docker is currently having its warehouse sales. Mainly "close out" stock (out of season), the price is ranged from RM 30 up to RM 150.
The details are as follows;
Date : 12 - 15 November 2009 (4 days only)
Place : Hotel Sri Petaling
The even better news is, virtually every size is available and there are wide range of designs.
But the bad news is, parking is scarce so be early..
This is how the hotel looks like.
And the condition inside;
When we were there today (Friday) there wasn't much people, maybe because its a working day. The queue to the fitting rooms is acceptable. But i don't know about the last two remaining day though.
Happy shopping people!!!
Ettusais
I went to a miniwork shop yesterday..
By Ettusais in Isetan, The Gardens.
In order to make me eligible to attend it, I had to purchase a RM 90 fully redeemable voucher.
When I reached there, I was shocked. I thought it will be conducted in a class just like the normal workshop that I get to know.
( Forgive me, I had never attended to any workshop before... ^^)
The workshop was being conducted in one to one based. I was told by the SA, Sok Yee who lectured me for almost 1 hour, this time they are conducting a mini workshop, different as the previous one.
Throughout the workshop, atleast I learned some make up skill and skin care products from ettusais.
I get to know this product when I purchase the mini set of their nail colour during their 8th anniversary 30% promo. Fall in love with their products immediately after read some info from their websites, blogs and forums.
Something extra:
Their nail colour are GREAT!
Bright and shining in colour, not turning my nail into yellowish colour
although I applied the blood red colour one without using any base coat.)
The door gift of the day are:
*teng teng teng*
Eye Massageing Essence (worth RM 81)
So, how it works?
From Ettusais.sg....
How it Works: Not only does it treat all types of dark circles, both blue (promotes blood circulation) and brown (reduces and lightens pigmentation), the Eye Zone Massaging Essence helps reduce puffiness by enhancing blood circulation and reducing water retention as well. Lightweight yet moisturizing, the texture is ideal for you to massage your eye area to enhance the effect of the essence. Use this every night and banish those dark circles!
I applied it last night before sleep. After massaging for the 3 x up, 3 x down, 6 x all formula, I felt some heat on my eyes and the tidious feel of my eyes gone in minutes!!!
(as I had been busy for studies for days, sleep less than 12 hours in 3 days)
further, the dark eyes circles lessen a bit after a while too!!!
So, for the RM 90 voucher, I purchase a night amulate powder.
What? At night also gotta applied powder?
This is my thought when I 1st time read through this product from several websites and blogs.
How does this powder works?
From Ettusais.sg....
A medicated skincare powder that protects your skin from pimples and roughness all night long. The ultra fine powder particles lock moisture in the skin's keratin layer while smoothening out rough skin. Greet each day with fresh and oh-so-smooth skin!
I just started use it, so, not really willing to give any comments on its effect yet. But from several blogs and forums, I got all positive comments of this product. *applause
What I like the most of this product are,
It's PUFF!!! soft and comfortable~
I planned to change my who skin care line to their product. However, I still have my moisturizer, toner as well as essence and etc havn't finished yet, I decided to give a try on the soup cleanser 1st. I am trying to stop myself form start using it and finished my cleanser 1st.
So, that's all from what I have spent on Ettusais.
Will give more review soon after using it for a period of time.
