Station One Cafe Christmas Set Meal Promotion + Free Bear

It's Christmas again and its time for businessmen to slash your throat.

Ok, maybe not all.

And maybe not Station One Cafe, because there is a Christmas promotion lined up.

For this month, Station One Cafe will be having a Christmas Set Meal at RM 28.90, which comes with a free bear.

But if your decided that Station One Cafe is the place to go on 24th or 25th December, which is the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day respectively, the price of the set meal rose to RM 33.90.

But Station One put it as the normal price being RM 33.90, but they give you a discount of RM 5.00 for the whole month, except the two days.

Whatever, for the consumer, that will still be the same.

Oh yea, Merry Christmas.

MPH Garden of Knowledge Book Fair

MPH currently is having a book fair in Alamanda Putrajaya, and it has a beautiful name - Garden of Knowledge Book Fair.

Date : 18 Dec 2009 - 3 Jan 2010
Time : 10 am - 10 pm
Place : Alamanda, Putrajaya

If you are expecting all the books to go very very cheap, sorry but you are to be disappointed. This book fair has three (3) "promotions" only namely;

a) Books at 20% discount
b) RM 5 voucher with every purchase of RM 80 for MRC and MIM members (Some types of membership with MPH) or RM 100 for non members
c) Free note pad for every purchase of RM 60

To be fair, most range of books are there, fictions and non fictions. And you can get 20% discount for all the books from normal price.

But is it worth the trouble?

How do a glasses shop do a warehouse sales?

Review - L'Occitane Shea Butter Extra Gentle Soup and Lip Balm

Hooray, finally found a beautiful blog template. See, I just change the blog template.
After searching and surfing for a few hours, this is the one which attract me the most...

^.*

Tomorrow is my big day.....
Happy birthday to myself~!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, mud guy had blog so much about the recent warehouse sales that we went, I could hardly figure out what should I blog about.
So, let's have a short review on some L'Occitane stuffs that I bought last months.
I have just started to use it's soup and lip balm. Haven't start to try the foot cream and hand cream which my friend one claimed that L'Occitane has the best hand cream and foot cream.
L'Occitane, once upon the time, is a shop where I feel too classy and pricey to step in. One day, I saw their promotion and so tempted to try on it. Ended up, I got myself all these stuffs. They are so well-known with their ingredients that consists of she butter, one of the best moisturizing and nourishing ingredient.
In L'Occitane's website, they claimed that - Shea Butter protects the skin against the sun as well as the hot winds carrying dust and fine sand that dry the skin.
Shea Butter Extra Gentle Soup
I have tried the Shea Butter Extra Gentle Soup - Verbena for more than one month continuously. It smell so natural and without excessive artificial perfume scented smell. I hate to use soap since I was small. I hate the rough and dry soapy feeling after bath. However, this Shea Butter Soup is really excellent. It work so well to moisture my skin and I can even feel smoothness on my skin after shower. Hence, RM 19 per piece of this soup is worth. Besides, it can even work better than those other commercial shower gel. After using it for a month, my skin looks brighter and smoother.
As a result, I bought another set of L'Occitane 6 pieces soup bar last last week which consist of 5 different flavors and colours. I love colourful stuffs~ ^^ Will review all of them one by one if I get to use it before giving them as pressie to friends.
Shea Butter Lip Balm
The soap is GREAT. However, the lip balm doesn't work on me. I like the smell of the balm. Natural and simple. However, due to my extra-ordinary sensitive lip, perhaps I am allergy towards some of the ingredient of a lip balm (which I have problem with most of the lip balm in the market), my skin on the lips peel off when the balm got to mix with the saliva in the inner part of my lip.
At last, I still have to stick to my Vaseline petroleum jelly where my friend bought for me from UK. I feel so bore with the smell of Vaseline. In a correct word, I should say, I don't like it's smell. Is there anyone facing the same problem as me?? Any solution??
Picture stolen from here and here.
Free RM 10 Voucher at Parkson
When we talk about Parkson, most of the Malaysians would rather give it a pass, favoring foreign marque like Isetan, Robinson and to some extent Jusco. But blimey, Parkson IS the one when it comes to China, and probably going to be so in Vietnam, in terms of luxury departmental store.
For me, i personally like Parkson, at least the Pavilion branch at least. Absolutely comfortable and the items are well ranged and updated, better than many other Parksons and other departmental store.
And if you are like me, likes Parkson, there is luck for you. And the promotion, sadly, ends on Sunday, 29 November 2009, please forgive my lateness in getting to know it.
The Promotion
If you spend RM 150 in a single receipt, you will be entitled to a RM 10 voucher.
And if you spend the money on cosmetics and perfume (if i was not wrong), RM 100 spending will get you a RM 10 voucher.
T & C as usual, applies, but a worthy reminder would be the voucher must be redeemed at the same day.
Which means, the cashier will not hand you the voucher straight. You would have to redeem it yourself at the customer service counter, which is quite a troublesome thing to do.
Butter Girl got a wallet there today and spent her RM 10 voucher on the same day as the expiry date of the voucher is very near (6 Dec 2009) to be exact. So, do spend your voucher quickly =p
Happy shopping!!
Clearance Sales at Coach
Too bad, i only got to know it today, but really, it does not matter.
Coach is having its clearance sales today, though i do not know if it extended beyond today. I do think however that it will at least last the weekend.
Today at Gardens branch, we saw a long queue outside of Coach. Upon enquiring, we got to know that it was the clearance sales for Coach.
And get this - the discount is only 30%, which is consistent with what Coach had always do.
But really, do you think a 30% discount constitute a clearance sales? That warranted a long queue? Granted, the long queue do piqued our curiosity to get into the line (stupid us), waited, then got in, only to realize there isn't much to go for.
Maybe its cheaper for you to just fly to US, grab a few Coach-es, and fly back.
Or maybe that 30% is really good.
By the way, they even got TWO guards. I never knew Coach was sooooo precious.
Cheap Original Crocs in Crocs Outlet, Mines
I am sick of all those fake Crocs at pasar malam and "warehouse". They make wearing Crocs no longer cool as those ill-informed people will thinks that i am wearing a fake one too.
But hey, there are actually cheap, original Crocs lying around for all to buy. And for those who wore Crocs, we knew the difference.
There is a Crocs Outlet in Mines Shopping Fair, at 3rd Floor in the New Wing.
For the uninitiated, Outlet means a place where "rejects" or "out of season" or "too old" stocks are sold. Here in this Outlet, choices are plenty though you might not find the range and size that you want. But get this - all Crocs are at 50% discount, and that is very good.
So, if you wanna get a Crocs but not willing to fork the price, get from this place. And it is a good investment, as Crocs is virtually indestructible, though the base (read "rubber") will be flat.
Happy shopping!!!
11th World of Chinese Book Fair
It has been the 11th series, but this is the first time i have heard of it.
No, seriously.
The details are;
Location : MIECC, Mines Resort City
Date : 20 - 26 Nov. 2009
Time : 11am - 10pm
Entrance Fee : RM 2.oo per person, student enter for free
Now i must say that unlike KL Convention Center, not many people knows about MIECC ( i think it meant Mines International E-sumthing Convention Center, or i might be wrong).
But if you are interested to go, let me enlighten you of how.
First, get into Mines Shopping Fair. Go to 3th floor, the entrance is beside F.O.S. If you still can't find out where, just ask the information counter, which they had one in the middle of 3th floor of Mines Shopping Fair.
My first impression is that the Popular-organised Chinese book fair is decidedly larger in term of participants and amount of books. The discount in the Popular's fair is also higher than this one.
But this particular book fair triumph in the sense that it has more than books. Here, there is a section dedicated to tea art (which more than ten participating booth) and a huge section for eating. Well, you know, after getting tired walking around, you can just sit down have some tea.
Secondly, students get to go in for free, unlike the Popular-organized ones where everyone pays RM 2.00.
Should you come here?
Well, you should if your interest is in Chinese books. Though lesser in amount, there are still treasures in the fair!
But if you are like me, read little Chinese, don't bother.
